2 years old
And speaking of which, I started blogging 2 years and 3 days ago... How time flies.... You can still see my archives at the bottom of this page anyway...

Frequently, you see the title missing from my posts... Well, that's only because I blog about everything, not just about a specific topic... Anyway, today, the whole of Sec 2 had to go to solicit for donations from various parts of Singapore... Our group was assigned to Lido Complex. Heh, I was actually thinking of sneaking off to watch Star Wars, but in the end that cheeky thought of mine did not get realised. Well, it was a bad day to begin with... Up till noon, I only had about a dollar. Then we decided to go to McDonalds for lunch... We managed to capture the lunch-time crowd and one lady gave me $10! At first, she was contemplating of giving me $2, but she put it back... I was thinking that she was going to take out some coins instead, but instead, a $10 note came out... This just shows the generosity of some people... In fact, she also told me that she had already donated already. If only everyone was like that. The other extreme can be seen more often... Many people just walk away... I was thinking that they don't know how difficult is it to raise funds for something that doesn't benefit us much (aside from 7 CIP hours), and that they don't appreciate our effort. But I can't just say that without pointing at myself. Yes, the countless times I have turned down donating money... It seems that the amount of time and effort put in can only be seen by the people who ask for donations themselves... And then we have the people who are fed up of this... One lady went up to our team leader and told us that we are not supposed to solicit here, and that she had already written a letter to our school. Personally, I feel that if you don't want to donate, don't. And we weren't violating any rules... We were OUTSIDE the shopping mall, not inside. I guess some people are just too free. On the bus ride home, a grandmother was scolding Hokkien vulgarities over the phone, with her grandson. Heh, it was funny the way she said that word. And she didn't seem to care. Perhaps the older generation doesn't give a damn about vulgarities contrary to popular belief... Anyway, it was a nice ride back to school on a double decker bus. We had the whole upper deck to ourselves towards the end of the journey, which is cool... Anyway, school is ending soon! Which means the arrival of PC Show 2005. I desperately need some RAM, but I don't have the money. Damn... I'm just hoping for a miracle to happen so I can go down to Sim Lim Square to get some RAM. Hopefully, there might be some attractive offers regarding this area at PC Show 2005, but I'm not very optimistic... School is ending. Hooray!

I passed Maths
Man, if the Best Teacher Award nomination form were to be given out at the end of the day, I probably wouldn't have voted for Mr Chen. Mr Lawrence Tan, my Maths teacher let us have a free period today... And originally I failed Maths by 1 mark this term... But he was kind and gave me an additional mark for me to pass... I am extremely grateful for that and I will work hard for Maths from now on... Thanks for that chance, Mr Tan! But too bad I already nominated Mr Chen. Bleh, he was like self-soliciting, asking everyone to vote for him. For those prefects who would be in class late, he told them just to write down his name and put in some good comments. Heh, I wonder if the class votes will be void! This time, it's the teacher who is telling us to do no, not us... And Mr Chen has not slept in class for the last two weeks. This leads me to thinking whether that Mr Chen has started taking... ah, nevermind. I guess that's all for now... There's a new Counter Strike Source update which I'm gonna try out now.

Some education minister came to our school today... And we had to put on an act to please him ;) For the first time this year we were so orderly. Yeah right. Have a throbbing headache since this afternoon... and worst of all I still have to endure CCA. Today's CCA was just slack, slack and slack. Danny become vice-head of programming. Waha. He's the legendary Sec 2 vice-head... Nothing much to update, today, really... Life has been going on as per normal.

Good and bad day
Morning assembly was funny today. It's NPCC day today, and all the flag raisers and stuff are NPCC cadets. So the national flag was raised... Majulah Singapura... the flag was still at his shoulders. Wow, was the flag even raised? On the second Majulah Singapura, it only went slightly higher. I thought they would just stop at half mast. But they didn't. Two minutes on and the flag was finally on the top of the flag pole... And down it went to half mast, to mourn for our late President Wee Kim Wee. It was all well at first, but it went below half mast. It went further down, and even further down. I wondered what the hell was the national flag raiser doing. The flag went up of course, with the school flag. It was just marginally up though, and the guy raising the school flag signalled the national flag guy to raise his flag higher. And the opposite happened... The result was a very messy affair. The national flag ended up LOWER than the school flag. Then the sergeant said the school's vision wrongly. Argh. And he still had the cheek to say "The NPCC cadets have trained to be in form for this parade". Yeah right, when you can't even get the flag right. Of course, the teacher scolded them after the whole morning assembly was over. And after a while, when I went back to check, the national flag was higher than the school flag, and was at the proper height... At least they discovered their mistake. Oh, and the gay teacher I talked about yesterday made his re-appearance. Apparently, he hasn't learnt from his mistake. Thank God he didn't have any announcements for the Primary Stickses (sic) today. Today, his line went like this: "Good morning school. I have no announcements to make. You may demise (sic)." Oh great, dismiss became demise. So he told us to die. And his words were so incomprehendable that no one listened to him. Therefore he corrected himself "You may return to your classrooms". People listened this time. I suggest that he SPEAK CHINESE if he can't manage English. And the Maths test was quite difficult, with some very easy questions. I have problems big time with fractions... I freak out when they see them. I would be contented with just a pass for this test. DAMN IT. And the flickering screen I encountered before is finally solved, by flashing my ForceWare to 76.45. Yay. There's nothing I can do about my tests now, I just have to wait for my results. What's next on my list? Games.

Today
The topic is about today. Not like I have any other titles to think of. History test went well for me... Easy in comparison to other tests. That leaves out Maths... my dreaded subject. Channel 8's website is giving me troubles at home. For some reason, the website chooses to flicker. On other people's monitor, it doesn't occur. What gives? I have tried reinstalling FF and still the same. I wonder what the hell is wrong... Oh well, wish me good luck in Maths~

Morning Assembly
Ah, as I was typing this post, the person in question appeared... What a coincidence. So what happened today? At the morning assembly, our resident sissy Chinese teacher went up the stage and attempted to speak English. He said "Good morning school. All Primary Stick (sic) stiudents (sic) class Chairmans please meet me". The whole school was laughing... not only at his gay voice, but at his pronunciation. Conclusion: Don't speak English if you can't manage it.

In school now
This is probably the first blog post I made in school. I wanted to blog one before, but I didn't upload it. So I have decided to finally use the Profile feature. But since the file which contains all the links and stuff is at home, I cannot link it yet. Just hope that I remember to do it when I get home. Three out of five tests have been completed. Science is over. My confidence level is 100% down from yesterday night. All that I've studied did not come out. All that I didn't came out. Damn it. Hmm, this is the first time in ages that I am not using BlogThis! to post. It seems that the Compose mode is problematic with Firefox. Clicking on Edit HTML, and then shifting back to Compose will render the Compose window un-editable. Argh, I hope they fix this ASAP. But it isn't really my concern, I prefer HTML mode after years of learning HTML—it's safe to say that I'm quite well versed in HTML right now. Oh, and any suggestions on what to write for negZine?

Seems like more people are starting to blog now... including my classmates and stuff. I still remember back in mid-2003, where blogging was just starting to be mainstream. Oh yeah, and did I mention how crappy the old Blogger templates were? But I don't really care, now that I already designed my own template. Ok, on to other topics. My benchmark. I am at a loss as to what to add. I have plans for version 3.0, but I don't know what's to come after that. Any suggestions? Maybe I should just concentrate on negZine and not care about C++. Afterall, I'm not really that good in C++. Common tests are here. Today we had English and Chinese... Tomorrow Science, Thursday History and Friday Maths. Damn, I hope this quickly passes! I just finished revising my Science, so I hope I do well (despite having wasted several Science lessons). And time passes so quickly... It's May 2005 already, with half the year almost gone. I still remember the time where I first set up this blog, it was like almost two years ago. And how my life has changed since then... New school, new house, new environment and new friends. The June holidays are approaching... In 3 weeks :D The IT Show 2005 is a thing of the past already, PC Show 2005 is going to start soon, on 2nd to 5th June 2005. It's the June holidays, so I'll try going on the weekdays. It's at Singapore Expo this time, although it's twice as far as Suntec City for me, it's so much more organised than the squeezing crowds in Suntec. So yeah, I hope they have cheap RAM down there... I might just pick up a 512MB stick, so that I can play Half-Life 2 even more happily. I'll try to blog more often from now on, but don't count me on it, I have said this several times before and so far I have not kept to my promises.
