okay finally got the mood and time to start blogging. haha.

last few days have been coming home late and tired... as in very, very tired.

well, shall start from last thursday..

last thurs was the release of the o lvl results. met up with lionel, xy, aloy, eugene, danny, albert, jia sheng, zeming and edmund at j8 mcdonalds at around 8am for breakfast. haha and it so happened that almost all of us are currently in vj for pae. oh and bishan gay wasnt there. lols.

after breakfast went to some playground near eugene's house for some reason. then went up to eugene's hse, and we got kinda high doing all the vj mass dances (cos there's this website that has all the cheers). then zm tried to follow the steps also LOL.

then around 10 guo kai came, cos hc released them at 9.30am. slacked a while, played a few games of bridge, then we went to cat high to borrow a basketball from the pe dept. sadly the sch's bball court is currently closed to build the indoor sports hall thingy.. even the pri sch bball court also affected. so no more goaltending and slam dunks (and i get reminded of kung-fu dunk again..). haha anyway we went to the court outside whitley instead. and yeah, whitley moved back already.

then we started hearing rumours like, cat high got l1r5 9.5 this year. didn't really believe it cos that was like the same l1r5 we got last year.. haha then we saw the 7A1s list. four pple from our class made it... then went j8 for a while and came back. by then it was around 1+.

okay its boring to blog everything, so i'll just say we got our results at around 2.15, after lhb appealed to us to donate to the sports hall thingy and the phototaking for all the 10, 9, 8, 7 A1s people. and expected top scorers like tao^2 were interviewed by the media. haha. 10 A1s. gayyyy. well i somehow by some tyco way or another managed to get 6a1s in the right place. and my higher chinese got b3! which was really, really surprising. and i thought i would be very very contented with a pass. i mean how many pple do u see getting b3 for both hmt and mt...



ok after Os were released we went to swensens to celebrate. i think around half the class went. haha haven't tried swensen's student meal before, well, i think its more worth it than pastamania but i think pizza hut is still more value4money. haha. ate baked rice!!

WELL then after lunch some of us left, then the rest of us went to the bball court near leon's house at bishan near gy there. then me zh lionel js went to funland to play arcade, before going bball. zz then when we arrive at the bball court, got this group of gangsters saying that 'today bball ban, only can play soccer'. well, we almost fought. but i guess most of us weren't that willing to fight if any were to break out. after all we just got back our Os. haha. well maybe if i really screwed up bad i would really go all out, but well, we shan't stoop down to their level yeah.



friday morning went to zh hse with lionel. eugene and zeming came later. played tennis. haha then we joked smth along the lines of 'hi, im federer. u can call me roger.' (well thats before federer lost to djokovic, if not u can call me novak :) )

after that we played bball. then zh's friends came. they didnt want to bball, so we played captain's ball, or rather bball w/o dribbling and intercepting. haha. but after a while they left, so well.

went home after eating lunch at blk153 there, but went out again at around 4+, to play pool with jonathan, zh and lionel. played for a while then somehow we felt bored. lols. then went zone-x! never went tpy zone-x for a looong time. and then well lionel me and jon went ljs to eat dinner while zh went home. but somehow we saw zh on the bus home. haha. he must've waited damn long




SATURDAY

was gym day. went to bishan gym wif albert, jonathan, lionel, leon and aloysius. might have missed out some people i think. did the assisted chin-up machine. haha. spent like 1-2 hours there? and i feel stornger LOL.

then met jia chuan and charles at the food court there (the one opposite bishan lib). after that went to junction 8, cos aloy wanted to buy a bday present for his sis and albert wanted to buy bday present for wp. yeah then after that went arcade again. haha. then jon was playing the grab the toy thingy, damn funny, the thing kiap the toy but when it move up it never drag anything. hard to explain here.


but on the way back we stopped at this pasar malam there, then there was this little boy cycling then he talked to us. haha then we asked for his name. 'leon'. lol then jonathan kept shouting LEONNNN and i think he frightened the kid. then went home.



sunday, was a day spent at home.


MONDAY was school again. not really used, the four-day break was sort of relishing the long holidays all over again.

first period was special ct session, meaning we had only one period pe! so no running 4+km at ecp. yay.

ok after school got jacked rather badly. at first ian and i wanted to go this club to play bowling. then went with his friend there, but the security guard refused to let us in cos we were not members and vj is not supposed to play there on monday. zz. so took bus back to the stop opposite tao nan to take 55 back. but end up the bus stop opposite did not have 55. but we didn't know. so i was like some bai chi flagging the bus while it turned right. zz. then we had to walk alllll the way to the next bus stop which was quite far away. and we almost missed the bus.

(and the next day we asked everyone whether they wanted to go bowling)


TUESDAY, well, was quite a normal day for me. just that after 3rd period pe, eugene realised he got mugged. and some other bags at the hockey table also. heard the cctv recording managed to track who the thief is, hope they get their stuff back soon yeah. so vj is not as safe as i thought.

well, then saw js, wp, rachel and phillip at the canteen. actually i think they had some choir meeting or something earlier. well decided to join them since they are taking 55 home. haha and i found out rachel is actually my pri 2 classmate.

oh yeah on tuesday V28 became our 08s48's homeroom. haha.


yesterday is what i wanna blog about. lol. inter-class games. won 2, lost 3. won first and the last game. last game i was captain haah managed to catch many balls! haha and while i was nt captain i managed to gai a few balls. not bad.

well then went home with the choir ppl again and some of my classmates. and on this bus was this mad guy. and ian sat next to him for a moment. then i think he gt freaked out when the guy started shouting 'YA CRAZY AH. CRAZY. KILL ME. I WANT TO DIE' then he keep banging his head against the window. then we quickly went to the front there. haah and heard that alot of ppl see him before. well i guess there's a first time for everything though. hahah.



well today, nothing much happened la. after sch went to library to complete my binomial theorem tutorial (okay by completing only one qns) with albert, terence and another guy. waited for lionle's gp lesson to be over, then we went to parkway. haha then on the bus i re-enacted the mad guy scene yesterday. lol. damn hilarous. yup so went to get some gifts for the angel and mortal game. zz my mortal haven't reply me yet! so i'm not gonna care. bought a keychain for my angel. lionel and js also bought a keychain i think.

yup then 55'ed home. hoped to see that mad guy again haha but he wasn't on the bus though.



and tomorrow's friday again!!!

another long tuesday ahead.

how time flies.

it's close to the end of january already. christmas and new year decos have been all but replaced with chinese new year ones.

it's 2008 and this realisation has pretty much dawned on me already.

2 weeks since i entered vj.

perhaps i'm halfway through life in vj?

hmm.


just moments back i would be navigating through ponds after ponds (well if you get the drift), and right now the vj campus seems to be getting smaller and smaller by the day. i somewhat know my way around now.


well i guess 08s48 is quite a nice class yeah. though initially it had that cold feeling lingering around. i guess it's because we didn't know each other well at first, but now it's getting warmer as the days go by. which is a great thing haha. BUT the bad thing is i think everyone there except me is so damn smart that i feel embarrassed to ask qns regarding things i dunno!



just hope that everyone manages to stay in the class yeah?



og bbq tomorrow! hope it doesn't rain!

the orientation seems to be all but memories now.

o lvl results i guess we should know by next week? because if not then i wonder why we took our Os 2 weeks earlier when our results aren't released 2 weeks earlier.

orientation is almost over. well formally its over but there's still the sea regetta.


HOWEVER ITS FUN!

haha first day not so though. cos first day was just some basic ice breakers and stuff... and cheering and mass dancing. haha. whiney whiney whiney ooh! and i guess our sub-og was kinda quiet on the first day, perhaps cos we didn't really know each other well? saw some ex-rosythians also (omg how long since i've used that word??) while wandering about. haha.

on that day took 76 to school with lionel and albert, and saw ivan on the bus. haha.

one complaint i have is the shoe bag that they gave!!! within an hour the strap was broken already. bah.



SECOND DAY was much better though. perhaps somehow we've gotten more familiarised to the surroundings? the sub-og became more 'inclusive', so yeah its a good thing! and of course dry games! haha. i loved the CTF game, but too bad we lost. and the foosball thing also. was so confusing towards the end.

had our 1st og dinner on the second day. but maybe due to some miscomm or something many didnt end up going. so in the end only about 5-6 of us went for the dinner. haha. but it was really nice. got to know my seniors better, and they're really a friendly & fun lot to be with.


THIRD DAY was wet games. haha. but the games were kinda retarded. i think the dry games were better. but second og dinner at the end of the day, and this time, almost the whole sub-og went. haha so its a good thing. this time we went the bk at ecp. and shi hang was telling me abt the super-siong pe lessons in vj, cos he was in the vip for 2 years already. since i failed chin-ups im not really looking forward to that!!

haha anyway i think the dinner at bk was much more fun. all the 0 degree (aka cold) jokes and some stupid games which um, i took forever to figure out. haha. so much fun. we left only at around 9+ and seems like lots of people took bus 55 home, so i joined the err, 'bus 55 gang'. haha. then those riddles and stuff continued on the bus. AND i couldnt figure out the fuzzy wuzzy thing. (*#(@$

and no one could figure out the touch thing on the bus. haha. i think i memorised a whole lot, mama papa can touch twice, mother can touch once, father cannot touch, grass and field cannot touch, vjc cannot touch, catholic high cannot touch, bubblegum can touch thrice, hippopotamus can touch thrice......

i guess with so many people taking 55 home my rides home are unlikely to be lonely for the first mth? haha


then SATURDAY, which was yest, was the mass dance. met my sub-og at the suntec food court at the basement. I REMEMBER THERE WAS DEFINITELY a food court upstairs but when i went up there wasn't any. wasted like 10 minutes this way and felt kinda like an idiot. haha. and i think i was the last to figure out the finger thing. bah. and the touch thing..

then at 7 we went to the mass dance location which was the fountain of wealth. haha the thing started at 7.30 and it started drizzlin. and shi hang told us it was 'fake rain'. haha then it just got heavier. and we were all drenched. but we didn't really care. afterall its 'fake rain' right?!?!?! anyway it ended rather quickly, both the rain and the dance.


haha after that those cedar girls started doing their cheers also. then somehow we managed to gather all the cat high peeps. and do the fine cheer and the 公教 oi thingy. haha. was damn high. and we started going round the fountain shouting 公教, lhb and all the teachers-with-significant-repute name. haha. and we sang the school song too!!

haha then we sorta crashed all the other groups and cheered st nicks, cedar, all those. haha. damn lame.

and then after all those stuff was over went home with lionel, ivan and xuan yi. somehow i managed to find them yeah. haha








tomorrow's sea regetta. and orientation's gonna be over soon. sigh. but whats inching closer is the release of the o lvl results. sigh. i don't want to grow so attached to vj, cos there is quite a possibility that i might not be able to remain there. sigh. but after having made many friends thus far i dont really wanna leave. and hope our og stays in contact often too.. its really been nice knowing you guys&girls.

oh yeah, and we got sorted into our class already. im in 08s48 with jia sheng edmund and another cat high guy. haha.










as the weekend approaches, i realise that,



i miss 4-1. 4-1'07.


and i miss 公教.

simple cheer, but carries lots of meaning.

anyway 31st dec was the class barbeque at zeming's house. 20+ people turned up, so i guess it was quite a success? spent the new year there playing blackjack and mahjong all the way until 6-7am.

and then we slept.





2007 seems to be gone almost as fast as it came. just this time last year, i was wondering how the hell i would make it through Os. but somehow i managed to survive the ordeal. this year, i guess the feeling is not so much there, just worried about how i fared in the Os.

i think 2007 was quite an eventful year for me. the year started off rather uneventfully, or so you can say. sure, the pace was quickening, but somewhat manageable. then came the major setback in feb, which was my chinese results. somehow i managed to go against the school's wishes and persisted on taking hcl. but that ordeal changed me somewhat i guess. i didnt want another b3 again. so i resolved to work harder.

then prelim 1 came and went. and somehow during this period i started going out with zeming, leon, jonathan and jia chuan. went tpy like every weekend to play pool, play arcade. also i became closer to other classmates as well. and made many new friends.

if i were to continue about this i guess you'd fall asleep. haha. truth is 2007, though eventful, was kinda repetitive. i mean how eventful do you want 3 prelims to be? geez.



anyway, i somehow feel that the holidays are exceedingly short. though o levels seems to be an eternity ago. contradictory, i know. i remember just two weeks into the holidays i felt that o levels was a distant memory and i was even looking forward to school because i started to get bored. this feeling sort of intensified throughout the start and mid of december... then somehow after christmas, it seemed like there were still so many things i wanted to do before school starts. i thought the o level break was supposed to be one of the longest breaks of my school life, but it's all a beautiful lie. all the freedom that we exchanged for now has to be returned. after a total break from studying it sucks to realise that you have to start doing so again.


but then i'm not really dreading today. new school, new environment. just wondering whether i am able to stay inside after the JAE. hoping to make lots of new friends there, and to put my past behind me. and i heard the first three months/one month is one of the best time of JC life.



as i step into my olive green and white uniform with metal buttons for the last few times of my life, i guess there would always be the nostalgia. my years spent in catholic high have by far been the best years of my life; it basically saw me through most of the trying periods of my life. i am thankful for all the friends i've made over the years in the school, be it classmates or schoolmates, you're the greatest people ive ever known. sometimes i wonder whether i will subconsciously cross the road to board bus 55 to bishan in the morning.




today, as i step into my new provisional school compound, it will be a completely new experience. sure, there are bound to be a few familiar faces, even from some of the p6-05 people who made it there, but theres no more mr lee giving his hour-long speeches, nor my maths teacher, physics teacher, chemistry teacher, teacher. it will be different, but not completely so.



anyway, 2008 is here.


i just want to say this to everyone in 4-1 '07: you guys have been a great bunch. will always remember you all, especially all the good friends ive made... hope we get to meet up again someday?
